Day 2 started with some place time with the cousins. Jared, who Lucas calls "Jerry", played with Mr. Cashier while Haley quizzed Brian on state facts.

We swung by grandma and grandpa's for another quick visit and then headed out.
Quick stop at the hotel for butterhorns, which were gone within minutes!
Stopped at Bronner's to see Frosty. He was quite comfortable in the 57 degree July weather!
Then our Northern adventure began! We took the scenic route up Lake Huron.
Stopped at Tawas Point lighthouse where we met some crazy woman whose offer to take our picture turned into a 15 minute photo shoot! We did get some good pics!
Our final destination was Cheyboygan State park where we slept in a teepee!
Dinner led to a waterfront adventure. It was chilly at the Cheboygan Crib Light.
The boys had to play in the water...

Last stop was to see the Mackinac Bridge at sunset when it lights up. Isaac took pictures on his leap pad.
Finally, we got tucked in to bed for the night in our teepee!
It was a very full, but fun day starting our trip North!
