The 4th of July was yet another full day. We started the day with the Southport Parade. My two were not really in the mood for pictures at this point!

Their little beach chairs were perfect for sitting on the curb.
Here comes the parade!! Lucas has been sucked into a trance by the police cars. Isaac, on the other hand, would like his mother to put the camera away!
After the parade we had a picnic lunch on the curb while we waited for the traffic to clear. After lunch the kiddos were much more agreeable for the camera!

After lunch it was off to the beach and then back to Nana & Boppa's for a cookout. We ended the day watching the Southport fireworks under the Oak Island Bridge with some additional friends (Judy, Robin & the boys, and the Eads' crew). The fireworks were kind of "ehh" but the fellowship was great!
