Isaac, Lucas and I are visiting Gastonia for a couple of days to get some quality time in with Madeline, Audrey, Aunta & Uncle Mark. It just so happened that today was toddler day at Ray’s Splash Park. This means no big kids in the pool and makes for a fun time for the little ones. Isaac was so excited that his eyes weren’t even open yet this morning when he asked “can we go to the splash park now?” He absolutely loves to swim!! So, after a quick trip (more literal for Madeline than the rest of us, see her story here) to Krispy Kreme for breakfast, we headed off to the Splash Park!
The last time we visited Ray’s, it was only with 2 kids. Today, it was with 4 kids, a little more of a challenge, but lucky for us Opa was able to come along and help out too. Do you believe we actually got these 2 to sit still for a second for a picture before running into the water?
Isaac absolutely loves to swim. Today was the first time since he’s been potty trained, so keeping his swim trunks on without a diaper was something mommy didn’t quite account for. He sure does look like a big boy without that big old diaper!
Today was Lucas’ first time in a swimming pool. Like his brother and cousins, he loved the water and enjoyed kicking his feet and even splashed around a little. He looks like a natural already!
We had a wonderful day at the Splash Park, followed by lunch at Ikea. I don’t think days get much better than this!
