Customer Appreciation Day

Sunday was customer appreciation day at James Island County Park (the park where we rent our cottage in Charleston). So we made sure to take full advantage! The high ropes course was one of the free things today, so Brian, Aunta, Uncle Mark and myself decided that we should give it a try. The course started with a rope net that went up to a platform about 30 feet in the air, then there were two wire obstacles to get to the final platform where you took a zip line back to the ground.

Here's a video of me and another lady in my group on the zip line.
Oma and Opa were gracious enough to watch the kids while we played.
Next on the free agenda was a boat ride. Brian and Uncle Mark took Madeline and Isaac out in the canoe. They really seemed to enjoy being out on the water.
While the big kids napped, Lucas got some time in with his new favorite toy that he borrowed from Audrey. It wore him out!
After naps, we headed back over to the climbing area. We visited earlier in the morning and Madeline climbed on the wall but Isaac wasn't so sure. He did much better this afternoon and took his turn on the wall. He played on the bouldering wall and pretended to be fixing all of the holds.

We finally convinced him that the holds on the big wall needed fixing too. So, he got a harness and got tied in and climbed up (with Brian's help) to about 8 feet! Isn't he the cutest little climber?

We ended the day with dinner at the Crab Shack in Folly Beach.
I'm not sure who has had the most fun on this trip...the adults or the kids. It's been very relaxing even though we've kept the kids busy most of the time. It's so fun to watch Isaac and Madeline interact and play together. They both have quite the personality and the two of them together are hilarious! I hope that Audrey and Lucas will have a similar relationship. I think Audrey is eager for Lucas to grow so they can play together too. I'm just trying to absorb each and every moment. They just grow up too fast.
