Spring is here and what better way to celebrate spring than our now annual trip to Charleston with Oma, Opa, Aunta, Uncle Mark, Audrey and Madeline?!? We left Raleigh on Thursday after work and got to James Island County Park late on Thursday night. The kids (well Isaac and Lucas) both slept in until 8 this morning (woohoo!) and then it was time to play. We started off with a bike ride over to the playground that Isaac has been talking about for a week.
Audrey made sure to take good care of Lucas on their ride.

Isaac's favorite playground toy...the fireman pole!
Lucas just taking in the sights!
After lunch, Madeline and Isaac took a walk with Oma and Opa. This picture was taken from the screen porch on our cabin. The weather today was absolutely perfect so we enjoyed plenty of time relaxing on the porch!
After nap time, we went out riding bikes again. We found this cool tree and decided it was a perfect photo op! Aunta and Uncle Mark stirred up the bugs when they climbed up higher on the tree for a picture, so we didn't hang out here very long!!
Next we headed out to the crabbing docks on the waterway. Isaac enjoyed his cheese dip snack...his reward for being cooperative in the family picture above.
We did our best to get a picture of Oma and Opa with all the kids. Getting a picture with 4 kids under 3 all looking at the camera is pretty much a 3 ring circus...but this one was half way decent.
While hanging out on the dock, two dolphins swam by the docks! They were less than 10 feet away. It was really cool to see them so close.
Finally, after an awesome blue cheese steak dinner that Aunta made, Uncle Mark and I took Isaac and Madeline (in their pajamas) on a bike ride in the dark to see the giant light up owl at the campground. We ended up riding the trail all the way around the lake. The amazing full moon lit the way for the most part and the tiny flash light out of my truck lit the way in the woods. Not the safest way to ride a bike, but we had a lot of fun!! When we got back, Isaac said "I need a nap". He fell asleep almost immediately, but then we did have an exciting and fun filled day!
