Saturday was Wake Forest’s annual “Meet in the Street” Festival. We’ve lived here 8 years now and this is the first time we’ve been in town for Meet in the Street! They blocked off down town and had craft booths, community info, food vendors and a whole street just for kids activities. It was really fun! Aunt Ra-Ra and Aunt Cindy met us downtown for the fun.
We even ran into Santa Claus! This man really was playing the part too. He asked Isaac if he liked the toys that he brought him for Christmas. Isaac thanked him for the drums he got this year. Santa asked him if he was being a good boy and reminded Isaac that he’s always watching. Then he gave him an “I met Santa” sticker out of his wallet. How cool is that? We got to see Santa in the middle of May!!
Lucas spent the day in the stroller perfectly content. He liked kicking and crinkling the bags we set at his feet in the stroller. One time even managing to wrangle the candy bag with his toes so he could pull it up and go through it! He got a bunch of freebies too. He makes a good little Fire Chief don’t you think?
Isaac’s favorite part was driving the fire truck!
My big guy doing the bounce house obstacle course all by himself.
The cutest little orange!
Time for some snacks!
Naptime!
My two big guys!
We had a great time and will be sure to mark the calendars to make sure we’re in town again next year!
