Isaac Turns 3

Last Tuesday, Isaac turned three years old…but the celebration lasted much longer than one day. My little boy was spoiled rotten for an entire week!

It started first thing on Tuesday morning with a donut breakfast complete with candles.DSC_0006

I took Superman cupcakes and a balloon for his celebration during snack time at school. Once we got home, Lucas gave him a baseball glove and his favorite movie “Frosty the Snowman” on DVD. Then we had dinner at Red Robin where Isaac hid under the table while they sang Happy Birthday to him! Crazy boy!

His birthday continued on Thursday when GG and Aunt Karen flew in from Michigan to visit for the weekend and enjoy his party. Thursday night was step one of the cake making project for my sister, Anna, and I. We came up with the great idea to make cake pops! It took forever, but they turned out great! Oma brought the cake and we frosted it on Friday night. It finally all came together on Saturday for the party. Here is the finished product. Didn’t it turn out great! Thanks Oma and Aunta for your help!!

We had a big barbeque for Isaac’s party on Saturday. A lot of our friends and family were there. Here are Oma and Opa with all their adorable grandkids!

Nana and Boppa provided the entertainment with their waterpark! The kids had a blast playing in the water.

Then it was time for presents. He got all kinds of great toys. Footballs, cars, legos, videos, books, snakes, an inch worm, a suitcase and so much more. It seemed to be the year of the costume though. He got two that he has been talking about for a while.

From Nana and Boppa…his NC State Football outfit, complete with pads and a helmet!

And from Oma, Opa, Aunta, Uncle Mark, Madeline and Audrey his very own beekeepers outfit. I took him out Saturday evening to see the bees up close for the first time. He was SO excited!!

On Sunday, we wrapped up the celebration with his present from Mommy and Daddy. We took him to see the Imagination Movers with Choo-Choo Soul at the DPAC. He got to high five a couple of the movers, dance in the aisle with mommy and we all had a fun time! I had arranged for Oma and Opa to keep Lucas while the three of us went to the show, and found it very cute that Isaac asked the whole way there why Lucas couldn’t come too. I love that he loves his little brother so much!!

So needless to say, it was a very busy week. Thanks to all our friends and family for making it such a great birthday for Isaac and thanks for all that each one of you do to spoil him rotten! He is definitely well loved and he loves you all!!
