Advent - Day 18 and 19

We had another weekend of fun activities! To make up for skipping the whole sleeping on the floor thing, I picked up a gingerbread train kit for Isaac at Target on Friday night. I spent time during his nap on Saturday building the actual train (probably best he didn't help with this as he would have added some undesirable words to his vocabulary! The box makes it look SO easy...just break on the lines...yeah right!). But it did go together and it had dried solid enough for a 2 year old to touch it by Sunday. He had a blast decorating his train and has been showing it off all day!

Day 18 Activity: Take a Serious Christmas Photo
This activity did not go as planned. But I don't think you can get more serious than this about NOT looking at the camera!!!

Day 19 Activity: Make pine cone bird feeders
We had to go out and hunt some pine cones for this one. It actually went really well although the only wildlife I've seen eating in the backyard today was the squirrel I caught eating the pillows on our couch on the porch!! Why don't you have peanut butter and bird seed Mr. Squirrel!!!

The advent box has been a lot of fun and it's helped us to add some really fun activities to the last few weekends we will be spending together as a family of three!
