Lucas had a very busy day today! He got to leave the hospital this morning and venture out into the real world for the first time. Opa and Uncle Mark brought Isaac up to the hospital so he could help escort his little brother home.

He did fairly well with his first time in the car seat. He was happy for a few minutes in the car but for the most part did not like being strapped in the seat and cried a lot of the way. Isaac talked to him on the way home and told him about stuff along the way. It was pretty sweet.
When we got home, Isaac gave Lucas the grand tour. He was SO excited to get him out of the seat and show him around!!
He showed Lucas his special bed in Mommy and Daddy's room.
Then Isaac introduced Lucas to Wripley. She was sure to give him a big old puppy dog kiss!

Today was another great day for our family. Isaac did great today considering how much things have changed for him over the past few days. Some things are going to take some getting used to, but he sure does love his baby brother!
I have to give a word of special special thanks to my family who must have spent the last few days cleaning my house from top to bottom, stocking the fridge with food, and taking care of my big baby boy while Brian and I were in the hospital with Lucas. I could never say thank you enough for all you have done for us...but thank you, thank you, thank you!! You guys are the best and we love you!!
